Portraits - Studio or Location Based
Portraits:

121 Pics can offer either a Studio (Subject to Hire) or Location Portrait Sessions.
For Location Portraits this can be sometimes more exciting and is certainly less boring than a conventional Studio, as most Studios use screens and props and Some people find it daunting. When on location everything is real, and the endless abundance of different styles can be achieved. The Isle of Thanet has some of the most beautiful scenery. Unfortunately the weather can sometimes spoil the shoot.
For a Studio environment, we can accommodate
your request (subject to Studio Hire availability) as we
do not currently have our own Studio due to the costs involved,
however the cost of hiring the Studio will be charged accordingly. For best
results we would suggest a 2 hour min hire, this enables multiple changes of
clothing, for different photos.
For Mobile Studio within a Shop, Event or Occasion, please visit our: Mobile
Studio Page, if you are a shop or shopping centre, or an
event organiser, we can bring our Photographic Mobile
Studio to you.

Portraits:
We can accommodate most things and achieve this by putting the client first and producing the image that you have in mind. This can be arranged On Location, in your Own Home or in a Hired Studio. Portrait sessions are by appointment only to ensure that the session is not rushed. The session will normally take around one hour, however, we allow much longer if required.
If you want to share a shoot with a friend or relative and thereby split the charges between yourselves.
Do you want more than one Portrait shoot, perhaps interested in Creating and having a
Model portfolio undertaken. Contact us for further details.

Tips for everyone, when being photographed:
Wear similar tones of clothing
Think in black and white tones; if everyone wears dark blue and one person wears white, the eye will be drawn to the person wearing white. If there's a reason that one person should stand out, then do it. If not, change your colour selections.
Denim in any colour for pants and jackets works well. It's classic, it's informal and it comes in lots of great colours. Best of all, it never goes out of style.
Groom your hands and nails; they usually end up in some pictures.
Avoid patterns, logos, branding, and busy designs
Stripes, plaids, checks and busy patterns like paisley all tend to be distracting.
Avoid anything shiny or reflective
Avoid large, shiny objects like belt buckles, bold jewellery and reflective watches.
Unless your watch has a story, it's best to take it off during your portrait session. In fact, it's best to take it off well before you arrive so the marks on your wrist have a chance to fade.
Classic, elegant jewellery like pearls always looks appropriate.
Beware the colour red - It attracts attention! If you want to stand out on purpose, wear red. If you choose red for everybody, it's best if the reds match...
This is of course ONLY A GUIDE if your personality demands that you break these rules, then by all means, wear plaid with stripes in multi colours.
